Trailer – “A Quiet Place: Day One”

Paramount Pictures has released the teaser trailer for Michael Sarnoski’s “A Quiet Place: Day One” starring Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, and Djimon Hounsou. The film will be released in theaters on June 28th.

Plot Synopsis: A prequel to the first two “A Quiet Place” films, this third entry in the franchise explores the origins of the alien invasion story and introduces new characters.

What do you all think of the trailer? I really enjoyed the first two “A Quiet Place” films very much (I think I prefer the second to the first). Paramount had a task on their hands with replacing John Krasinski in the director’s chair, but after watching Michael Sarnoski’s feature debut film “Pig,” I think they’re in pretty good hands. It also helps when you have one of the most captivating (and under-utilized) actresses working today leading your film with Academy Award-winning Lupita Nyong’o (“12 Years A Slave” & “Us“). This may be a teaser, but it’s quite compelling in re-introducing us to the world Krasinski created while showing us on a large scale what happened when the creatures first arrived on our planet. I expect the sound work to be nothing short of spectacular, and I’m looking forward to seeing more of Djimon Hounsou after his introduction in the second film. This teaser did exactly what it was supposed to do (with a pretty effective tagline to boot), but what do you all think though?
