The Sight & Sound annual critics list for the year 2025 has been posted. The BFI’s international magazine polled more than 200 critics, programmers and academics from around the world to secure the results which, for the first time, includes a TV series in the Top 10.

Keep in mind that some of these films, while technically 2024 releases here in the US did not receive a European release until 2025 and that is why “Nickel Boys” and “Hard Truths” for example are here.
