20th Century Studios has released the teaser trailer for Dan Trachtenberg’s “Predator: Badlands,” starring Elle Fanning. The film will be released in theaters on November 7th.
Plot Synopsis: In the future on a remote planet, a young Predator, outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary.
What do you all think of the trailer? I absolutely loved “Prey” and felt so bad for Dan Trachtenberg (after waiting for so many years following the impressive “10 Cloverfield Lane“) that the film got pushed to streaming when it was such an awesome big-screen film in so many ways. I suppose I shouldn’t feel too bad, given that “Prey” was an all-around success on Hulu with critics, audiences, and even Emmy nominations for its writing and directing. It looks like the folks in charge at 20th Century Studios have given him the green light to go all out with “Predator: Badlands,” and the results sure do look stunning, giving us a glimpse of a whole new world and dynamic for the “Predator” franchise we haven’t seen before. It also helps to have an actress as talented as Elle Fanning leading your movie as well. Overall, this looks totally awesome, and I’ll be there in IMAX when it comes out. What do you think?
