Focus Features has released the trailer for Vasilis Katsoupis’ “Inside” starring Willem Dafoe. The film will be released in theaters on March 10th, 2023.
Plot Synopsis: INSIDE tells the story of Nemo, an art thief trapped in a New York penthouse after his heist doesn’t go as planned. Locked inside with nothing but priceless works of art, he must use all his cunning and invention to survive.
What do you all think of the trailer? All you have to say is Willem Dafoe is delivering a one-man-show performance, and most of us are already asking when we can see it. My gut tells me this will have its world premiere at Sundance, but it might go straight to theaters. In any event, the claustrophobic nature of the story, coupled with what screenwriter Bob Hopkins is probably drawing upon regarding some relatable themes post-pandemic/quarantine, will make for a tense and memorable experience with Dafoe guiding us every second of the way. I love a good survival story that requires ingenuity to escape a challenging situation. Give it to us in a tight 90-minute package, and I’m sure it will be effective. Basically, the intense art-house version of Bo Burnham’s “Inside” (but not really). What do you all think, though?
