“The Eight Mountains” had its world premiere at last year’s Cannes Film Festival, where it received positive reviews for its stunning photography of the mountain landscapes where a majority of the film takes place, the performances from Luca Marinelli and Alessandro Borghi, and the direction and writing from filmmaking duo Felix van Groeningen & Charlotte Vandermeersch. Borghi was kind enough to spend a few minutes with Dan Bayer discussing his work on the film, while I had the pleasure of sitting down with van Groeningen & Vandermeersch to talk about how they worked together on this ambitious project.
