What do you all think of the trailer? I know that Emerald Fennell can illicit quite an emotional response from audiences, but you cannot deny her skill as a filmmaker. Her work along with cinematographer Linus Sandgren looks stunningly gorgeous here, as does the costuming, and set design. I know people are already groaning over the choices Fennell is reportedly taking with the adaptation of the beloved source material, the Charlie xcx music and how steamy it appears without possibly any nuance or substance. I say, let her cook and see. I know some have already given up on her after her first two films but I personally enjoy how much she poses thought-provoking ideas for audiences to debate, ponder and even get angry over. I have no doubt this will do the same. It’s curious though, that Warner Bros. is releasing this trailer so early before release. Are they worried about the box office and want to get word out there early?I suppose we’ll find out sooner rather than later, this upcoming Valentine’s Day. What do you think, though?
