A24 has released the teaser trailer for Kristoffer Borgli’s “The Drama” starring Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie, and Hailey Benton Gates. The film will be released in theaters on April, 3rd 2026.
Plot Synopsis: A happily engaged couple is put to the test when an unexpected turn sends their wedding week off the rails.
What do you all think of the trailer? I’ve been immensely enjoying Borgli’s work as of late, between “Sick of Myself” and “Dream Scenario.” Having him team with two of the most exciting actors working today for what appears to be a dark, messed-up comedy about planning a wedding is exactly the kind of appealing indie comedy from A24 I absolutely eat up. It might make a good companion piece along with Robert Pattinson’s other recent dark romantic relationship film, “Die My Love.” With Ari Aster producing, I have zero doubt this teaser is hiding something meaner and more vicious, only hinted at here. Will it have a world premiere at Sundance or go straight to theaters this spring? With two big names in Zendaya and Pattinson, my guess is more on the latter, but I’m excited nevertheless.
