NEON has released the teaser trailer for Osgood Perkin’s latest film “Keeper,” starring Tatiana Maslany & Rossif Sutherland. The film will be released in theaters on November 14th.
Plot Synopsis: A wife becomes isolated in a secluded cabin and has to fend off an unspeakable evil.
What do you all think of the trailer? I love that the trailer essentially plays out twice, but from the two characters’ different perspectives. Superb choice from NEON’s continuously brilliant marketing team, who really know how to design trailers for their horror movies that will get audiences hooked. Credit to Osgood Perkins, too, for working as fast as he has lately. It’s worth noting, though, that this is only his second screenplay not written by him, which he has also directed, and the first since “Gretel & Hansel,” a film I found profoundly disappointing. But there’s no denying he’s been on a roll lately with “Longlegs” and “The Monkey,” and we’ll see if “Keeper” can maintain that trend. The trailer certainly points to there being a dark and menacing mood cast over this relationship between two people who are suspicious of one another, exasperated by the isolation and haunting evils that stalk them in the secluded cabin they find themselves in.
