Plot Synopsis: From Academy Award winning writer/director ChloĆ© Zhao, HAMNET tells the powerful story of love and loss that inspired the creation of Shakespeareās timeless masterpiece, Hamlet.
What do you all think of the trailer? This looks to be an emotionally powerful story of love and loss that inspired the creation of Shakespeare’s timeless masterpiece, “Hamlet” (which, coincidentally, has a modern interpretation starring Riz Ahmed making the fall film festival rounds this season as well)and a return to form for Zhao, following her disappointing work on “Eternals.” The score from Max Richter sounds heavenly, and the performances from Jessie Buckley as Agnes Shakespeare and Paul Mescal as William Shakespeare certainly look Oscar-worthy. Åukasz Å»al’s photography is quite gorgeous, and Fiona Crombie recreation of the famous Globe Theater looks grand and beautiful. I also understand Johnnie Burn (“The Zone Of Interest“) did the sound work for this as well, which I’m sure will only add to the immersion. This has to be one of the most anticipated films of the fall film festival season.Ā What do you think, though? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below or on ourĀ XĀ account.
