Trailer – “28 Years Later”

Sony Pictures has released the newest trailer for Danny Boyle’s “28 Years Later,” starring Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ralph Fiennes, and Jack O’Connell. The film will be released in theaters on June 20th.

Plot Synopsis: 28 years after the Rage virus escaped a medical research laboratory, survivors have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One group lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. When a father and his son leave the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, they discover secrets, wonders, and horrors of the outside world.

What do you all think of the trailer? “28 Days Later” is one of my favorite horror films of all time. What Boyle and writer Alex Garland created 23 years ago was nothing short of magical and groundbreaking for the zombie genre in cinema. Now, the same creative team, including cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle, has reunited with this insanely talented cast to give us the long-awaited film (skipping “28 Months Later” in the process), and the results sure look terrifying all over again. I’m in awe of the cinematography, the setting of the story, and the dynamic that will create for these characters as they fight to survive in a world where the rage virus has spread worldwide. Even the decision to shoot the film on an iPhone is a brilliant way to update the technology while still keeping it scaled back enough that it resembles how the first film was shot on DV cameras at the time. Every creative decision suggests this will be one of the best films of the summer. What do you think? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below or on our X account.
