The 2025 Sundance Film Festival Award Winners

As always, the Sundance Film Festival allowed many to discover new filmmakers, performers, and films from well-established artists worldwide, both in-person and online, for their 41st edition. Once again, the cast quality of filmmaking has been entirely on display since the festival began on January 23rd. And now, the Competition titles this year have been recognized by the Grand Juries and the audiences of Sundance with their annual awards. Single tickets for these award-winning films go on sale at 5 p.m. MT if you were unable to catch them during the festival. They will play again throughout the weekend. Here are this year’s award winners from the 2025 Sundance Film Festival.

U.S. DRAMATIC COMPETITION
Grand Jury Prize:Atropia
Audience Award:Twinless
Directing: Rashad Frett for “Ricky

Special Jury Award – Acting: Dylan O’Brien for “Twinless

Audience Award:André Is An Idiot
Directing: Geeta Gandbhir for “The Perfect Neighbor”
Jonathan Oppenheim Editing Award: “André Is An Idiot
Special Jury Award: “Life After”
Special Jury Award – Archival Storytelling:
“Selena y Los Dinos”

WORLD CINEMA DRAMATIC COMPETITION
Grand Jury Prize: “Sabar Bonda (Cactus Pears)”
Audience Award: “DJ Ahmet”
Directing Award: Alireza Khatami for “The Things You Kill”
Special Jury Award – Writing: Chloe Robichaud & Catherine Leger for “Two Women
