Disney has released the official trailer for “Wish”starring the voice talents of Ariana DeBose, Alan Tudyk & Chris Pine. The film will be released in theaters on November 22nd.
Plot Synopsis: In “Wish,” Asha, a sharp-witted idealist, makes a wish so powerful that it is answered by a cosmic force—a little ball of boundless energy called Star. Together, Asha and Star confront a most formidable foe—the ruler of Rosas, King Magnifico—to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen.

The team behind “Frozen” and “Frozen 2” looks like they have another winner on their hands. I particularly loved the animation style on display here, which crosses 3D and 2D animation techniques to give off a fresh look for Disney animated films. The real star of this trailer, though, is Academy Award-winner Ariana DeBose (“West Side Story“) and her gorgeous sounding voice, which she lends to the film’s title song, “Wish.” This is one of several new songs for the film by Julia Michaels and Benjamin Rice. At this point, you can pencil this in for Best Animated Feature and Original Song nominations at next year’s Academy Awards. I don’t know how I feel about the story, but this is still just a teaser trailer. What do you all think, though?
