20th Century Studios has released the trailer for the latest film from Sam Raimi, “Send Help,” starring Rachel McAdams, Dylan O’Brien, Chris Pang, and Dennis Haysbert. The film will be released in theaters on January 30th, 2026.
Plot Synopsis: Linda Liddle (Rachel McAdams) and Bradley Preston (Dylan O’Brien), two colleagues who find themselves stranded on a deserted island after they are the only survivors of a plane crash. On the island, they must overcome past grievances and work together to survive, but ultimately, it becomes an unsettling and darkly humorous battle of wills and wits to make it out alive.
What do you all think of the trailer? Honestly, I love Sam Raimi so much as a director that even when I don’t vibe with all of his films, I still find him dynamic and interesting in his creative choices. When he’s working in the horror genre, he’s at his very best, and while it looks like we’re getting a thriller for his latest, it seems to be dabbling in the kind of gruesome, darkly comedic genre playground he loves to play in. “I’ve always loved stories where interesting, dynamic characters are pushed to extremes,” says director Sam Raimi. “In our story, the power shifts create an escalating situation that’s brimming with unexpected turns and suspense.” Rachel McAdams, who doesn’t work that much anymore, is another reason to see this, as she appears to be having a blast here opposite Dylan O’Brien, who has emerged as one of the most exciting young actors of his generation. The two of them on an isolated island trying to survive the elements and each other sounds like it will be one hell of a fun time at the movies during a time of the year when new offerings will be slim.
