Trailer – “From The World Of John Wick: Ballerina”

Lionsgate has released the trailer for Len Wiseman’s “John Wick” spin-off film, “From The World Of John Wick: Ballerina,” starring Ana de Armas, Anjelica Huston, Keanu Reeves, Gabriel Byrne, Lance Reddick, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Norman Reedus & Ian McShane. The film will be released in theaters on June 6th, 2025.

Plot Synopsis: Taking place during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, the film follows Eve Macarro (Ana de Armas) who is beginning her training in the assassin traditions of the Ruska Roma.

What do you all think of the trailer? Listen, let’s be honest here. “John Wick: Chapter 4” is one of the greatest action films ever made, so anything that has the unfortunate task of following it will pale in comparison, no matter what. Len Wiseman has developed a solid enough career for himself by directing big-budgeted action films, but with a new crew and a new character to follow, in this case, Eve Macarro, played by what appears to be a very committed Ana de Armas, this might be a tough sell for audiences. With that said, the trailer is pretty decent (minus the very silly flamethrower vs. water hose moment), and the use of Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer” is a nice tongue-in-cheek song choice given the film’s title (which is a whole other conversation considering the ridiculousness of the “From The World Of John Wick” of it all). The action looks decent enough, but in the end, isn’t that what we’re all showing up for? It’s great to see Keanu Reeves again as the Baba Yaga, even if it’s just a supporting role.
