A24 has released the trailer for “Eternity,” starring Miles Teller, Elizabeth Olsen, Callum Turner, John Early, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph. The film will have its world premiere at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival and then be released in theaters this November.
Plot Synopsis: In an afterlife where souls have one week to decide where to spend eternity, Joan (Elizabeth Olsen) is faced with the impossible choice between the man she spent her life with (Miles Teller) and her first love (Callum Turner), who died young and has waited decades for her to arrive.
What do you all think of the trailer? I like the premise here and the people involved. I especially enjoy that it appears to be a period piece and all three of these actors are working in a different register than they usually do, except for Academy Award-winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph, who feels very comfortable in this sort of role compared to the others. This is being written and directed by David Freyne, who previously directed “The Cured,” so that may not be the best track record, but I will still likely seek this one out on the streets of Toronto.
