Universal Pictures has released the teaser trailer for Steven Spielberg’s “Disclosure Day” starring Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, and Colman Domingo. The film will be released in theaters on June, 12th 2026.

What do you all think of the trailer? I will ALWAYS be seated for a new Steven Spielberg film. He’s unquestionably one of, if not the greatest, filmmakers of all time, having given us countless masterpieces over the decades he’s worked in the industry. This is a new original event film from a story by Spielberg, penned by David Koepp, who Spielberg previously worked with on the original “Jurassic Park,” its sequel “The Lost World: Jurassic Park,” “War of the Worlds” and “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.” While this grounded story on the truth behind Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (or UAP) hopes to be more like the Tom Cruise led-scifi film and less the third act reveal of the fourth “Indiana Jones” film, I’m really intrigued to see how Spielberg tackles a subject matter he’s returned to many times in his career, especailly through the modern lens of today’s society. I’m also eagerly anticipating seeing many of these actors work with Spielberg for the first time or in meatier roles than what they’ve been given in the past. The sense of mystery surrounding this film, with the typical Spielbergian shots of sentimentality (hello, CGI animals), tells me this will showcase all of Spielberg’s distinctive qualities, making this one of the most anticipated films not just of the summer, but of the whole new year.
