Trailer – “Deadpool & Wolverine”

Yesterday, during the Big Game, Marvel Studios released the first trailer for the highly anticipated “Deadpool & Wolverine” starring Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni & Matthew Macfadyen. It will be released in theaters on July 26th.

Plot Synopsis: Wolverine is recovering from his injuries when he crosses paths with the loudmouth, Deadpool. They team up to defeat a common enemy.

What do you all think of the trailer? I enjoyed “Deadpool” and “Deadpool 2” (though I recognize it’s an acquired taste for many, considering the obnoxiousness and absurdity of the character). “Deadpool 3,” now called “Deadpool & Wolverine,” is the first entry in these films, which I was initially nervous about because it’s the first one genuinely set within the MCU and is being directed by Shawn Levy, who primarily makes family action-sci films (and has done a great job on “Stranger Things“). However, the trailer confirms this will retain the spirit of the first two films, with a hard-R rating (a first for Marvel), and Levy’s direction looks pretty dynamic and fun overall. The only real complaint is why Marvel would reveal the film’s title but withhold on featuring Hugh Jackman in the trailer. The cat has been out of the bag for a long time about his return to the character after his, dare I say, perfect send-off in “Logan,” so there was no need to treat audiences as if this was some surprise reveal. What do you all think, though? Please let us know your thoughts in the comments section below or our Twitter account.
