“Pachinko” premiered on Apple TV+ on March 25th and has gone on to become one of the most acclaimed series of 2022, resulting in a renewal for a second season which will come in 2023. The series is based on a novel of the same name by author and journalist Min Jin Lee. Soo Hugh created the series, with all episodes directed either by Kogonada (“After Yang“) or Justin Chon (“Blue Bayou“). It tells the generational story of a Korean family who immigrates to Japan from various perspectives in different timelines and languages. Sound Editor/Re-Recording Mixer Luciano Vignola & Re-Recording Mixer Martin Czembor were kind enough to spend some time talking about their work on the first season with us which you can listen to down below. Thank you, and enjoy!
