For this week’s second podcast review, I am joined by Ema Sasic, Nadia Dalimonte, and Tom O’Brien. Together we’re reviewing the latest film from director/writer Martin McDonagh, “The Banshees Of Inisherin,” starring Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Kerry Condon & Barry Keoghan. The film reunites McDonagh, Farrell, and Gleeson for the first time since “In Bruges” and is being called McDonagh’s best film to date due to its scaled-back approach compared to “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,” the dark humor, performances, writing and stunning use of the Irish landscapes. Tune in below as we discuss all of these elements, along with spoilers towards the end of the show, as we try to unpack the many layers to McDonagh’s story and the film’s Oscar potential. Thank you, and enjoy!
