“Society Of The Snow” had its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival, where it received enthusiastic reviews for its powerful telling of the true story of the Uruguayan 1972 Andes flight disaster. Harrowing, immersive, powerful, and inspiring, it’s a moving story that director J.A. Bayona was determined to tell correctly. He and Academy Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino were kind enough to spend some time talking about their work on the film, what the experience meant to them, and what they have coming up in the future after such a daunting production. Please check out the interviews below in video or audio-only formats, and be sure to watch the film when it arrives on Netflix on January 4th, which is up for your consideration in all eligible categories at this year’s Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Director, International Feature Film and Best Original Score. Thank you, and enjoy!
