“In The Heights” originally made its debut on the stage, winning Tony Awards including Best Musical, and is now a feature-length film currently in theaters and streaming on HBO Max. Being a musical, the music plays a key integral part in the storytelling, and executive music producers and composers Alex Lacamoire and Bill Sherman, have been with the film for twenty years. The two of them, along with music supervisor Steve Gizicki, were kind enough to talk with us about their work on the film, including the transition to the screen, working with Lin Manuel-Miranda, what their favorite songs are, and more!
