Releasing from IFC Midnight this weekend, “Demonic” represents many firsts for “District 9” director Neil Blomkamp. It’s the first time he’s working within the horror genre. The film also marks the return of the director to low-budget filmmaking after his first three films employed higher budgets and visual effects. This also marks the first time he’s working with cinematographer Byron Kopman on one of his feature-length films. Byron was kind enough to take some time to explain his working relationship with Neil, the experience of shooting the film, and more! Take a listen down below and enjoy!
