The Next Best Picture Podcast – Interview With “Beef” Composer Bobby Krlic

The hit new miniseries “Beef” premiered on Netflix on April 6th and instantly earned acclaim for its direction, writing, and performances from Ali Wong and Steven Yeun. British rock star and composer Bobby Krlic, aka. “The Haxan Cloak” has worked in both film (“Midsommar” and “Beau Is Afraid“) and television (“Snowpiercer”) and was brought on to work on the miniseries’ simmering, multi-faceted score. Bobby was kind enough to spend a few minutes talking with me about his work on the miniseries, the differences between working on film and television, how the score had to pair with the miniseries’ rocking soundtrack, and more! Be sure to give it a listen and check out the miniseries if you haven’t already, which is now available to stream in full on Netflix and is up for your consideration for this year’s Emmy awards. Thank you, and enjoy!
