Trailer – “M3GAN 2.0”

Universal Pictures has released the full trailer for the sequel to “M3GAN,” titled
“M3GAN 2.0” starring Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, Amie Donald, Jenna Davis, Brian Jordan Alvarez, Jen Van Epp,  Ivanna Sakhno, Timm Sharp, Aristotle Athari & Jemaine Clement. The film will be released in theaters on June 27th.

Plot Synopsis: Two years after the events of M3GAN, Gemma has become an author and advocate for regulation of artificial intelligence. M3GAN’s technology has been stolen and used by a defense contractor to create a spy robot called Amelia, who becomes self-aware and set on AI takeover. Gemma responds by reconstructing an upgraded M3GAN to fight Amelia.

What do you all think of the trailer? Hahahahahaha, this is so ridiculous; I kinda love it. The first “M3GAN” was a complete surprise and better than anyone anticipated, giving us a campy, fun villain in M3GAN (voiced by Jenna Davis). And now, this sequel looks to be the yassssified version of “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” (“M2: Judgment Slay?”), where M3GAN will team up with our heroes from the first film to defeat a greater threat. The sequel seems to be leaning more on action and less on thriller/horror as the first film, but it is so grandiose and over-the-top in a tongue-in-cheek way; I have no doubt the creators know how to lean into this and deliver something just as if not more entertaining than the first film.
