Sony Pictures has released the official trailer for J.C. Chandor’s “Kraven The Hunter” starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, Christopher Abbott & Russell Crowe. The film will be released in theaters on October 6th.
Plot Synopsis: “Kraven the Hunter” is the visceral story about how and why one of Marvel’s most iconic villains came to be. Set before his notorious vendetta with Spider-Man, Aaron Taylor-Johnson stars as the titular character in the R-rated film.Â
What do you all think of the trailer? Sony’s superhero offering outside of the live-action and animated “Spider-Man” films has been inconsistent with the “Venom” and “Morbius” films dividing even the most die-hard fans. The character of Sergei Kravinoff, aka. Kraven the Hunter has taken a long time to come to the screen, and having the hook of being an R-rated film may bring some of those more skeptical to the theater to check it out. Aaron Taylor-Johnson looks tremendous, literally and figuratively. And say what you want regarding superhero fatigue, but J.C. Chandor has a pretty stellar track record at the moment and looks to have delivered a brutal film that could be the fresh offering the genre needs and fans are craving. And, of course, if it all works out, it will tie in nicely with the already established “Spider-Man” films. What do you all think, though?
