By Daniel Howat
“Shirley” premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival to great acclaim where it got picked up by NEON and was released this past weekend on Hulu for everyone to stream from home. Much praise has been given to director Josephine Decker and the film’s ensemble led by the always incredible Elisabeth Moss but for this interview, we’re focusing on writer Sarah Gubbins. Sarah was kind enough to take a few minutes to talk to us about Shirley Jackson, her unusual but inspired adaptation of her story for the screen and the process of working on “Shirley.” Listen to find out more!
