“House Of The Dragon” is one of television’s most visually lush films today. Carrying over the same visual style of “Game Of Thrones” while allowing for subtle differences from each new DP who works on the series, the show has amassed acclaim for its highly cinematic look and overall quality. Catherine Goldschmidt was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Cinematography for a Series (One Hour) for her work on Episode 8 of Season 1, “The Lord Of The Tides” (and also received a nomination from the American Society Of Cinematographers for the same episode) and was kind enough to spend some time talking with us about her work on the episode after she received her first Emmy nomination. Please take a listen and be sure to check out the show, which is now streaming on Max and has been nominated for nine Emmy awards. Thank you, and enjoy!
