The Next Best Picture Podcast – Interview With “Beau Is Afraid” Stars Amy Ryan & Nathan Lane

Beau Is Afraid” is the latest film from auteur director Ari Aster and it’s proving to be his most divisive but fascinating feature yet. The nightmarish horror comedy is a three-hour-long epic odyssey that takes Beau (Joaquin Phoenix) to the ends of the earth on a journey to visit his mother, with whom he has a complex relationship. After hitting him with their car, he awakens to meet the kindly couple, Grace (Amy Ryan) and Roger (Nathan Lane), who may not be who they say they are to Beau. Amy and Nathan were kind enough to spend some time talking with me about their work on the film, collaborating with Aster and more. Please check it out below, enjoy and be sure to check out the film, which is currently playing in theaters from A24! Thank you.
