Thierry Frémaux announced the official lineup for the 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival this morning, and as it is every year, the lineup was extremely impressive as it included festival favorites and newcomers from all over the world. Last year’s festival saw the world premieres of several Oscar nominees and winners, including “Triangle Of Sadness,” “Top Gun: Maverick,” “Elvis,” “Close,” and “EO.” We currently know this year’s jury president will be Academy Award-nominee and two-time Palme d’Or winner Ruben Östlund (“Triangle Of Sadness” & “The Square“). Still, we do not know the other jury members at this time. This is a very exciting lineup for us, for after covering the festival for the first time in person last year, Next Best Picture will be sending the wonderful Ema Sasic and myself this year. This year’s Cannes Film Festival runs from May 16th-27th.
