Matthew Vaughn’s “Argylle” To Get A Theatrical Run In 2024

According to Variety, Matthew Vaughn’s latest film, “Argylle,” will receive a theatrical run next year. The Apple Original film is set to hit theaters on February 2nd, 2024, before streaming on Apple TV+. The film has a large ensemble, including Henry Cavill, Dua Lipa, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, John Cena, Ariana Debose, and Samuel L. Jackson. Jason Fuchs wrote the screenplay, while Vaughn will direct the film. “Argylle” is based on a novel of the same name by writer Ellie Conway.

Cavill plays the titular character Argylle, a secret agent suffering from amnesia who is duped into believing he’s a world-famous novelist. The film is a spy adventure on a globe-trotting mission across many locals. “Argylle” is planned to start a three-film franchise for Apple TV+.

It’s good to see Apple become committed to giving their films legitimate theatrical runs and to continue promoting the theater experience.

Recently it was confirmed that Apple was going to do the same for Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of The Flower Moon.” Matthew Vaughns’s films are quite fun, but it seems he’s very much ingrained with the spy genre at this phase of his career. His previous three films were all part of the “Kingsman” series. The ensemble for “Argylle” is stacked, and with the way Vaughn films action sequences, this could be a pretty entertaining time at the movies.

What do you think about the ensemble for “Argylle?” Will you see it in a theater or stream it at home? Please let us know in the comments section below or over on our Twitter account.
