Warner Bros. has released the trailer for Academy Award-nominee Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners,” starring Michael B. Jordan, Delroy Lindo, Jack O’Connell, Jayme Lawson, Wunmi Mosaku, Omar Benson Miller, Hailee Steinfeld, Li Jun Li & Lola Kirke. The film will be released in theaters on March 7th, 2025.
Plot Synopsis: Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.
What do you all think of the trailer? I was not expecting to start my morning with the new Ryan Coogler film, let alone Ryan Coogler doing horror with not one, but two Michael B. Jordan’s. Coogler has established himself as one of the must-see filmmakers whenever he has a new project thanks to the success of both “Black Panther” films and “Creed” (We’d argue you should check out his first collaboration with Michael B. Jordan in “Fruitvale Station” if you have not already seen it). Seeing him dive into the horror genre, set within what appears to be the 1930s(?), featuring a diverse cast and shot on IMAX cameras, makes this already one of 2025’s most anticipated films. From what we see here, I love the atmosphere and look of the movie and cannot wait to see how Coogler utilizes the horror genre to tell his story. What do you all think?
