In 2014, Jennifer Kent came on the scene with the indie horror film “The Babadook,” which won her a tremendous amount of critical acclaim and is regarded today as a horror masterpiece. Now, 5 year later, she is back with “The Nightingale,” an equally horrifying film that explores themes of brutality, compassion, history and more! Jennifer was kind enough to chat with us about her latest film, why you should still seek it out despite the buzz around the film’s violence and its awe-inspiring performances.
