The Next Best Picture Podcast – Interview With “Pi” Cinematographer, Matthew Libatique

Darren Aronofsky’s “Pi” was recently re-released by A24 exclusively in IMAX theaters on Pi Day, March 14th, 2023, for its 25th anniversary. Cinematographer and long-time Aronofsky collaborator Matthew Libatique was kind enough to spend some time talking with us about the restoration, reflecting on his work with Aronofsky all these years later, what it was like shooting an independent film in New York City for only $30,000 and more. Be sure to take a listen below and get your tickets to see the film here. Thank you, and enjoy!
