“I’m No Longer Here” is currently shortlisted for this year’s Oscar for Best International Feature Film. The film was released on Netflix earlier in 2020 to much acclaim and it won out for Mexico’s entry into the Oscar race over other heavy hitters from the country such as “New Order” and “I Carry You With Me.” Director and writer, Fernando Frías de la Parra, was kind enough to talk to us about the story, working with the actors, the challenges of the shoot, what the film means to him and more! Take a listen down below and be sure to check out the film now streaming on Netflix.
