“Against The Ice” is a survival film based on a true story with deep ties to Danish history. Emmy-nominated “Game Of Thrones” star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau co-wrote the screenplay about Captain Ejnar Mikkelsen’s (who he also plays in the film) expedition in Greenland, which left him and his volunteer mate Iver Iversen (played by Joe Cole) stranded for over two years in an unforgivingly cold and harsh environment. Nikolaj was kind enough to spend time talking with me about coming across the story, working with Cole, what were the toughest and best parts of shooting, and more! Please be sure to take a listen down below and check out the film, which is currently streaming on Netflix.
