Damien Chazelle’s “First Man” is one of the year’s best films and it is also one of the year’s best technical showcases for various departments involved in the production. Myself and Will Mavity received the opportunity to interview members of the post-production team for Visual Effects and Film Editing, Academy Award Winners Paul Lambert (“Blade Runner 2049“) and Tom Cross (“Whiplash” and “La La Land“). Through our conversations, they peal back the layers on Damien Chazelle’s re-telling of Neil Armstrong’s mission to the moon, what it was like to work with the hands-on director, the challenges they faced and more!
