Pedro Almodovar’s “Strange Way Of Life” Will Have Its World Premiere At The 2023 Cannes Film Festival

The 2023 Cannes Film Festival news keeps rolling in as we get closer to the April 13th announcement of this year’s lineup. The 76th annual edition of the festival has already announced Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon,” James Mangold’s “Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny,” with Maïwenn’s “Jeanne du Barry” opening this year’s festival. It’s also heavily rumored Wes Anderson’s “Asteroid City” will be added to the lineup later this week, but now it can officially add another title to its list…

Pedro Almodóvar’s upcoming short film “Strange Way Of Life” will have its world at Cannes in the Official Selection. The festival confirmed the news earlier today and announced that Almodovar would attend the premiere along with his lead actors, Ethan Hawke, and Pedro Pascal. The gay western, which is said to be Almodóvar’s response to “Brokeback Mountain,” will be Almodovar’s second English-language film after his 2020 short film “The Human Voice” starring Tilda Swinton.

What do we think of this news? Are you excited to see Pedro Almodóvar’s latest film? What else do you think will be announced for this year’s Cannes Film Festival? The official lineup for the Cannes Film Festival will be announced on April 13th.
