If Next Best Picture Voted On The Oscars…

By Cody Dericks

Everybody who follows awards season wants to be an Oscar voter. The influence, the taste-making, the importance, who wouldn’t want to be able to cast a ballot? So here at Next Best Picture, I ran a survey to see what would happen if the Oscars were decided by both #FilmTwitter and the Next Best Picture staff. I calculated the winners just like the Academy does, including using a preferential system to decide Best Picture.

First up, let’s see what #FilmTwitter chose. We received hundreds of responses from all over the world and every single nominee got at least one vote in every category. You can check out those winners here.
