Netflix has released the official teaser trailer for David Fincher’s “The Killer” starring Michael Fassbender, Arliss Howard, Charles Parnell, Kerry O’Malley, Sala Baker, Sophie Charlotte & Tilda Swinton. Plot Synopsis: After a fateful near-miss, an assassin battles his employers and himself on an international manhunt he insists isn’t personal.
What do you all think of the trailer? David Fincher trailers consistently hit differently. Whether it’s because of the rapid-fire editing, the Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross score, or the supremely controlled, cool cinematography, there is always something about a David Fincher film that will have audiences excited. This being one of his serial killer thriller films, many feel this source material is directly in his wheelhouse, and the trailer seems to be giving off that same impression. It’s really great to see Fassbender back after missing him these past few years, and his calm voice over the trailer repeatedly saying, “Stick to the plan,” gives the trailer a rhythm while allowing us to peak into the mind of a killer who may be cracking. Whether it’s an Oscar player or not, this will undoubtedly be a can’t-miss film for many of us. What do you all think, though?
