Apple has released the trailer for Jon S. Baird’s “Tetris” starring Taron Egerton, Toby Jones, Nikita Yefremov, Roger Allam & Anthony Boyle. The film will have its world premiere at SXSW and then release on Apple TV+ on March 31st, 2023.

Plot Synopsis: The true story of the high-stakes legal battle to secure the intellectual property rights to Tetris.

What do you all think of the trailer?

I love the energy and style of this trailer. While I’m not too excited to know about the story behind a video game, I’m pretty shocked to see this has elements of a political thriller taking place in Soviet Union Russia during the Cold War. Anyone who looks up the history behind this iconic game will find that this story is way more intricate and thrilling than it has any right to be. Also, I love to see Taron Egerton continually pushing himself with what looks like a vivacious performance here that will showcase his charisma and comedic chops. I also found the use of Europe’s “The Final Countdown” mixed with the classic Tetris game sounds to be quite clever. What do you all think, though?
