Warner Bros. Pictures has released the trailer for Olivia Wilde’s “Don’t Worry Darling” starring Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Olivia Wilde, Gemma Chan, KiKi Layne, Nick Kroll & Chris Pine. The film will be released in theaters on September 23rd, 2022.

Plot Synopsis: A young housewife living in the 1950s discovers a disturbing truth while her loving husband hides a dark secret.

What do you all think of the trailer? This is as about as far away from “Booksmart” (Wilde’s first directorial outing) as one could possibly get in terms of style and tone. It looks so vividly realized with a phenomenal performance from Florence Pugh. Could it be her best one yet, thus, bringing her another Oscar nomination so soon in her career? I particularly liked the psychological horror elements and how ambitious Wilde’s vision looks with mixing different genres. Harry Styles hasn’t been able to show a considerable amount of range in his acting yet (his role in “Dunkirk” was very brief), but the glimpses we see here have me intrigued as to what he can bring to the cinematic medium. Production values look fantastic across the board from the costumes, production design and cinematography. Here’s hoping this gets a festival run before its release at the end of September. Could it bring Wilde closer to the Oscars than “Booksmart” did? What do you all think? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below or on our Twitter account.
