“Under The Banner Of Heaven” is a true-crime miniseries on FX (which is now streaming in full on Hulu) that depicts the real-life investigation into the Lafferty family and the LDS Church in Utah during the 1980s. Developed by Dustin Lance Black (“Milk”), director Isabel Sandoval (“Lingua Franca“) was brought on board for the limited series’ penultimate episode “Revelation,” which has been submitted for a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. Isabel was kind enough to talk with us about her character-focused episode, what it was like directing Andrew Garfield, how working in television differed from working in film, and more. Please take a listen down below and enjoy! Thank you.
