For this week’s main podcast review, Katie Johnson, and Amy Kim join me to discuss the new feature film written and directed by Noah Segan, “The Only Living Pickpocket in New York,” starring John Turturro, Giancarlo Esposito, Will Price, Tatiana Maslany, Steve Buscemi, and Jaime Lee Curtis. An independent crime drama, it stars Turturro as an old-school thief trying to survive in a modern, cashless city while scrambling to fix a high-stakes mistake. The film had its world premiere at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, where it received positive reviews for Segan’s direction, writing, and Turturro’s performance. What did we think of it, though? Please tune in, either on video or audio only, as we discuss the seemingly simple story, its layers and complexities, performances, Noah’s direction, its Oscar prospects, and more in our SPOILER-FILLED review. Thank you for listening, and enjoy!
