The Next Best Picture Podcast – Interviews With “Elvis” Oscar-Nominated Actor Austin Butler & Sound Designer Wayne Pashley

Baz Luhrmann’s “Elvis” had its world premiere at the Cannes International Film Festival, went on to gross over $280 million, and is nominated for 8 Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor for its leading star, Austin Butler and Best Sound. Austin was gracious to spend a few minutes talking with Zoe Rose Bryant about his process for becoming Elvis Presley, working with Baz, his reaction to the film’s success, who he wants to work with next, and more. Following that, the Oscar-nominated supervising sound editor, sound designer, and re-recording mixer, Wayne Pashley, goes into great detail about the sound work for the film with Ema Sasic. We hope you enjoy both conversations. Thank you!
