Craig Gillespie already had a stellar filmography, but everything changed when he made “I, Tonya” in 2017. It caught the eyes of Disney executives who brought him on for his biggest project yet, a live-action origin story of one of Disney’s most notorious villains in “Cruella.” Craig was kind enough to spend some time talking about how he came on board for the project, what it was like working with Emma Stone and Emma Thompson, finding the right tone for the dark story, and more!
