For our latest throwback review, we’re reviewing And Lee’s “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” starring Chow Yun-fat, Michelle Yeoh, Zhang Ziyi, Chang Chen, Lang Sihung & Cheng Pei-pei. A worldwide phenomenon upon its release in 2000, the film broke box-office records for a foreign language film in the U.S. It earned the most Academy Award nominations ever for a foreign language film at the time. Recently re-released in theaters in 4K and with so much appreciation being shown towards Michelle Yeoh for “Everything Everywhere All At Once,” Dan Bayer, Brendan Hodges, Danilo Castro, Isaiah Washington, and I decided it was time to revisit this complex, beautiful and thrilling film. Tune in as we discuss the story, performances, action, craftsmanship, and its awards season run in our SPOILER-FILLED review. Thank you for all your support, and enjoy!
