The 2017 Visual Effects Oscar Shortlist Down To 10

The Visual Effects race has officially been narrowed down from 20 films to 10 as per The Hollywood Reporter.

Click below to see which films are left and could go on to be nominated for the Oscar.

Alien: Covenant
Blade Runner 2049
Dunkirk
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Kong: Skull Island
Ojka
The Shape of Water
Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets
War for the Planet of the Apes

The films from the previously announced 20 that DID NOT make the shortlist are:

Beauty and the Beast
‘‘Ghost in the Shell
“Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle”
Justice League
Life
Logan
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
Spider-Man Homecoming
Thor: Ragnarok
Wonder Woman

Probably the three biggest misses are, “Beauty and the Beast,” Logan” & “Wonder Woman.” But this is it. These are our final 10 and in the end, there will only be five.
