The Visual Effects race has officially been narrowed down from 20 films to 10 as per The Hollywood Reporter.

“Blade Runner 2049″
“Dunkirk”
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”
“Kong: Skull Island”
“Ojka”
“The Shape of Water”
“Star Wars: The Last Jedi”
“Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets”
“War for the Planet of the Apes”
The films from the previously announced 20 that DID NOT make the shortlist are:
“Beauty and the Beast”
‘‘Ghost in the Shell”
“Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle”
“Justice League”
“Life”
“Logan”
“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales”
“Spider-Man Homecoming”
“Thor: Ragnarok”
“Wonder Woman”
Probably the three biggest misses are, “Beauty and the Beast,” “Logan” & “Wonder Woman.” But this is it. These are our final 10 and in the end, there will only be five.
