What do you think of the shortlists? Anything big missing that you noticed? For me, I’m very surprised by the lack of “20 Days In Mariupol,” “Beyond Utopia,” and “The Eternal Memory.” In fact, not a single Critics Choice Documentary Award nominee is even among the shortlist, which is shocking to say the least. No film has been nominated at all of the major Documentary precursors (CCDA, Gotham Awards and now here). The only documentaries to land here and at the Gotham Awards were “Against the Tide” and “Apolonia, Apolonia” which puts both of them in a good position to be a predicted number four or five in the Best Documentary Feature Oscar race. What do you think is the frontrunner for the Best Documentary Feature Oscar? Please let us know your thoughts in the comments section below or on our Twitter account.
