“The Scout” is a 2025 American drama film, written, directed, and produced by Paula González-Nasser, in her directorial debut. It stars Mimi Davila, Rutanya Alda, Max Rosen, Ikechukwu Ufomadu, Sarah Herrman, Otmara Marrero, and Matt Barats. The film follows Sofia, a location scout tasked with finding the perfect interiors for a new TV pilot—yet what she’s really searching for may be harder to pin down. She slips in and out of strangers’ homes, capturing fleeting moments of intimacy, curiosity, and vulnerability, until her work takes a sudden, personal turn.
In his review from Tribeca last year, Next Best Picture contributor Cody Dericks said Mimi Davila’s performance was “quietly compelling” and that Paula González-Nasser’s directorial debut is “beautiful.”
The film had its world premiere at the 2025 Tribeca Festival on June 6th, 2025, and will be released in theaters on September 25th 2026, by Greenwich Entertainment.
