For this week’s second podcast review, Amy Kim, Josh Parham, Giovanni Lago, Daniel Howat, and Will Mavity join me to review and discuss the documentary film from directors Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, “You Can See Everything.” The nearly three-hour film follows Elizabeth Holmes, founder of the defunct health technology company Theranos, and her partner, Billy Evans, who invite the filmmakers and their crew to document them in the weeks before Holmes begins serving a United States federal prison sentence for defrauding investors. The film premiered as a secret screening at the 53rd Telluride Film Festival, where critics praised it widely, and it has been a commercial box-office success. What did we think of it? Please tune in, video or audio only, as we discuss the direction, the shocking twists and surprises within the story, that one performance everyone can’t stop talking about even though, to protect spoilers, they probably shouldn’t be talking about it, the editing, cinematography, its awards season chances, and more in our SPOILER-FILLED review. Thank you for listening, and enjoy!
